Our mission is to promote interest in beautifying the home and community, to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening and design, an to encourage and aid in the conservation and protection of our natural resources.


Organized and Federated in 1977, We are a members of the Arizona Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., Pacific Region Garden Clubs, Inc., and National Garden Clubs, Inc.

Join Us!

Scottsdale Garden Club meets the first Monday of each month (October-May) at 11:30 am, with reservations required for lunch. Our programs cover topics ranging from floral design & techniques for home and public display, to vegetable & flower gardening, and conservation of our natural resources.

First meeting of the year! Introducing our Signature Plant, "Kale".  Horticulture Chairman,  Aurien Preiss will be presenting a  plant study on Kale (which can be used in floral design...who knew?) and provide a growing opportunity for all attending members to enjoy throughout our growing season.

Landscape Architect, Bruce Solomon, from "Arcadia Color Garden Nursery" located in Phoenix will speak to us about Herbs. Bruce was the former co-owner of Dos Arbolotos, a company that grew herbs for local nurseries. He has a wealth of information to share about basic growing instruction for herbs, harvesting tips, preserving herbs and cooking with herbs. Come join us!

Special holiday design program to beautify your home brought to us by our favorite florist, Cactus Flowers. You will designing a holiday wreath. They will guide us in creating a beautiful wreath to hang or use a centerpiece on your table for the holidays. Reservations are required by November 20th as space is limited!

Special Guest presenter, Renee Waite is a member of Weeders Garden Club in Sun Lakes and Desert Designers, in addition is an NGC Accredited Judge and serves on the Judges Council. Her knowledge and love of design is obvious as she will patiently explain her techniques as she creates a design for us. Renee will have other designs on display as well. This is a "must attend" for all beginners and experienced designers!

A beautiful power point presentation on Chinese Gardens from SGC club member, AFGC Vice President, and NGC Accredited Judge, Sharon Davis. Chinese gardens are among the oldest cultivated gardens on earth.
